santander declined payment + blocked access to account

hi, i have a problem which is making me super anxious. so i used my 123 student account to make a payment of £235 (clothing) and santander blocked access to my account on suspicion of me being a victim of fraud. i called and talked to somebody who i basically told i'd rather just cancel the entire payment but then he was like the payment will be canceled but the account can't be unblocked as it needs to be reviewed, it's been referred to specialists and how long it will take is indefinite. this is making me super anxious (anything money related usually does with no mercy, no matter how small btw, which this probably is idk!) so does anybody know whether i'll have access to it soon? how long is this process meant to take? i spoke to somebody else today who said i can still make in person card payments & withdraw cash but won't have access to the app / online payments. but i'm just confused why access is still blocked after i've told them i'm canceling the payment?
btw i 100% believe i wasn't buying from a fraudulent company, although maybe the details point towards that, i discussed with them why i think the company isn't fraudulent. they weren't convinced so i said i'll cancel because i assumed this would be the safest? what do they want me to say lol? i don't understand

It's possible that you've tripped some sort of anti fraud failsafe by logging in from too many different IPs/devices/locations, or the account that you were making the payment to is being investigated for fraudulent activity or similar. Or worse, it could be a red herring, and the reason your account is blocked could be due to a different transaction/deposit.
