Which sentence is correct:

This is Freds meteor rock collection.
This is Freds' meteor rock collection.
This is Fred's meteor rock collection.

You can discount the first one straight off because there's no apostrophe and in English there always has to be one if you're adding a possessive to someone's name. The lack of possessive apostrophe on a name is characteristic of German.
