I’m going to do a bachelors in engineering or might transfer to MEng
I may do a msc in engineering instead of MEng
Can I become a teacher with this or do I still need other qualifications

You'll need a postgraduate certificate in education.

As above in the UK you still need to do a PGCE or another QTS route (e.g. schools direct I think one is called) in order to qualify. Having a masters isn't necessary and for STEM subjects generally there are shortages of teachers so the UK government is quite keen to get more going into teaching those subjects I gather.

To teach in a state school you'll need a PGCE. What subject would you teach?

I was looking to more of becoming a lecturer in mechanical engineering
So what would the route of that be
Does that mean the MSc doesn’t guarantee me a route into teaching

A lecturer at uni? Usually they have a PhD

You could teach in a fee-paying school without a PGCE ... but they are a bit dodgy these days with some not paying the correct amount or going bust.

You could teach in FE colleges with an MSc and work towards the PGCE
