Can I apply for a 16+ oyster?

So I am an international student of 17 years (I turn 18 on Dec) enrolled at a University. Am I eligible for the 16+ student oyster as I am clearly not eligible for the 18+ one?

Yes you are eligible for the 16+ oyster, also if you can are still apply for the 16+ oyster once your oyster expires when you turn 18, my oyster just expire today so a few days ago I went to the TfL website and saw that I still qualify for the 16+ oyster for one more year so I applied, I had to print a piece of paper and get it stamped by the uni and then go to the post office to pay the fee. Travelling around London is expensive is very 😭 getting buses free for an other year will honestly save you so much money.
