I got on the train with the wrong ticket (the price difference being £1.60) and the train ticket inspector scanned it and said it was wrong, tried to charge me for another ticket but it was declined and he said i’d have to go to court but he didn’t take down my name or address just scanned my ticket? What’s going to happen and what do i do?

Was the ticket associated with a photo card? If not, then he has no way of establishing your name and address. Nothing will come of this.
