Tips for Student Finance Worries

Hello TSR!

We hope you're all as excited for this Academic Year as we are here at DMU!

With our Freshers Week and Welcome Week events kicking off from today (already!:colondollar:) we know some of you may be considering when to expect your payments from SFE or Student Finance worries in general...:s-smilie:

Firstly, the best place to get help and support with SFE is directly from the Team of Experts themselves!
The wonderful SFE team are here on TSR in this forum and are on-hand to help answer your queries. You might also be able to see the info you were looking for, already there, in the forum!:h:

Student Finance England (abbreviated to SFE)- in case you're here and have no idea what anyone is on about:wink:- is a form of loan that UK Home students can apply for, if eligible, to support their studies. This might include a Tuition Fee Loan for your course fees as well as a Maintenance Loan for your living costs, both per year of your programme of study at Undergraduate Level:smartass:

My best advice is that your Student Finance England account has the most up to date info on your application and payments - if you're expecting these!:tee:

Usually in order to receive payments you have to Register/Enrol on your course.

For many Universities this is an online pre-registration process followed by an in-person, on-campus, induction and enrollment process.
This is when you sign up and get an introduction to the University IT and Library Services, receive your Student Card, and complete enrollment during this Induction!:elefant:

For Enrollment information the best first port of call is always your chosen University - as it isn't always exactly the same for each institution - so keep an eye out on emails and remember to complete any online processes first if required! If all else fails email your University or call them! :cyber:

You can also reach out to Universities AND Student Finance England (and other finance info) on TSR:biggrin:

Hopefully this helps and I wish you all a Happy Freshers!:rave:
