becoming a biology teacher

So I've got 7s and 8s on my GCSEs (8s in biology, chemistry, and physics) but for my A levels, I got BCC, B in psychology, and Cs in biology and chemistry (ok grades).

I'm currently at the University of Nottingham studying Nutrition BSc and I'm thinking of becoming either a biology or food tech teacher. If I get a first in my degree, would this make up for my biology grade or should I consider resitting it to get a better grade?

Only your degree class matters - a 2i will be fine.
