My study blog :))))))

I am going to make this just for myself, I think it will genuinely really benefit me if I type down everything I've done this week and just appreciate it. I am gonna do it once a week on Saturdays I think .

I am a year 12 sixth former and I want to apply to medicine to become either cosmetologist or a cosmetic surgeon ( something related to beauty). I am doing maths, chemistry and biology A level and just moved to a new school for Sixth form.

School:
I am getting a lot of work but at the moment I am staying on top of it quite well. I am really really enjoying all of my subjects and I honestly wasn't expecting it. During GCSE I liked those three subjects the most but I didn't know I was going to enjoy them so much in A level. This week we just finished Chapter 2 in Chemistry and are learning about glucose in Biology. In maths we just finished the Vectors chapter 11. I have a Chemistry test tomorrow and after writing this I'm gonna do all my work for that.
This week my school had an Open day for year 6s and as I've been appointed a Chemistry leader I had to help out with showing the kids flame tests. Honestly small things like this really help me with socialising with children and adults. My goals are to become really good at talking to people since I want to be able to speak well and confidently in my interviews for Med unis. I have been making Anki flashcards for Biology and Chemistry and it's helping me a lot. For maths I'm not too sure how to revise but I think I am going to start doing Dr Frost tests like once a week that contains all the stuff I've learnt all together so I don't forget it.
At school I've signed up to be a pastoral mentor, a maths mentor and a Chemistry leader.

Studying in the library with friends has been really helpful for me. I've made a lot of new friends since I have moved to a new school and I really like everyone. On Tuesday I went to London to go to a Rosh Hashanah dinner which was really nice. When I came to my boyfriends house on Sunday at the family dinner I also experienced the real Rosh Hashanah experience and it was really cute. My boyfriend looked really cute with a Kippah on. I've seen my boyfriend about 3 times this week because his school is in the same town as mine
Not sure if this counts as social but I've been spending ages to find a job and it's so hard. I've applied to so many jobs and have gone around giving my CVs in person as well and no one is taking me. I had an email from French Connection for an interview but turns out the days I am available is not enough for them. I really really want a job I really want money.

Medicine:
I'm trying to do as many opportunities as possible and I am honestly really enjoying it. Even when I'm tired when I go out and help with stuff I suddenly feel energised again. I've signed up to some Open day at my hospital for people who want to apply to medicine so I hope that will be good.
I spent around 2 months to apply to become a volunteer at my hospital, and after the long long process, I am finally in! Today I went there to get my ID badge and next Friday I start:smile:. The shift is from 4pm to 7pm and I am really excited, this is going to be a really good opportunity for me.
My boyfriends parents are both doctors and I asked him to ask them for any work shadowing I could do on a certain day and that is now sorted out! This is also going to be really good for me:smile:

Hobbies:
I really want to start boxing with my friends. It costs £50 a month for as many lessons as you want but I still DONT have a JOB! I really want to start boxing I want to become strong:smile:) I also want to learn how to drum, I want to email a teacher at my school if I could start practicing at lunch times it sounds really good.
Currently I am reading two books; Utopia by Thomas Moore and Diary of a Void by Emi Yagi. Utopia is a really old book but I am really enjoying reading it and the second book is a really simple but interesting book.

I should probably start with Chemistry now so see you next week<3
