I am stuck between mechanical and aerospace engineering.

I haven't done a degree in engineering yet, so I am not the best person to advise.

Yes, but I am not sure by how much and whether you're more likely to get a job in the aerospace industry with a mechanical degree than a degree in aerospace (more than likely there's no difference). The jobs in mechanical engineering also likely accept people with an aerospace engineering degree, but I am not sure how likely this will be.
