Hey guys- need some advice.
I'm thinking of taking a gap year and reapplying again to dental school. Can any successful gap year students give me some advice on what they did to improve/strengthen their application? Do I need to spend loads of time in dental practices or is it better to do more volunteering and only have ~2 weeks shadowing dentists?
Moreover, what UCAT score should I aim for to be confident in receiving an interview ( I know the thresholds are increasing above the 2700's/2800's even when unis say they dont have a "specific cutoff"). Will it be worth applying if I receive below 2750 as a gap year applicant?
Finally, can anyone recommend me websites/recourses that are great for MMI/ general interview practice.
Thank you 😊
