Is it discouraged to write about fantasy during exams (sec 3)?

For my EL paper 1 would it be ok if i wrote something on the lines of fantasy for example having superpowers or like with a dystopian theme?

Tbh the reason y it's discouraged is because students
1-spend too much time planning for it to be interesting
2-spend too much time explaining the backstory
3-forget to hit the AO2 or AO3
But if you don't do this and your plan works with the prompt then go for it
