DWP EO work coach conditional offer

Today (after a very long process) I received a conditional offer for a EO work coach position in Cardiff. While I’m over the moon, my pre-employment checks haven’t yet been completed. My 2 references have been completed but there’s 1 outstanding. However, the missing reference I’m referring to isn’t operating anymore so I can’t see them being able to give a reference. Will this affect my checks and would they potentially fail me solely on that. I’d like to think not but it is worrying me as I’ve accepted the conditional offer and will have to hand my notice in for my current job in the next few days. Any advice would be appreciated!
