Can I apply for a Russell Group with average GCSEs?

Hi, I’ve got an A*AB prediction for my uni applications, but I’m not sure whether or not to apply for Russell Group unis because my GCSEs are quite average; I got:
Bio - 6
Chem - 6
Physics - 8
Maths - 7
History - 7
Drama - 8
Computer science - 5
German - 6
English lit - 8
English lang - 9
I know some Russell groups require only 7-9, so will I be wasting my time by applying to them?

It's not especially difficult to get into RG unis. I work at one and for the majority of courses we don't really care about your GCSE's beyond the minimum in Eng and Maths.

Competitive courses might care, but that's the same at RG or non-RG.

What subject are you thinking about?

Those sound like great grades honestly, especially since you have A* in your core subjects. Even a grade 5-6 would be dismissive of rejection, so as long as it's a 5 or up, go for it!
