How to increase employability in uni and prepare for internships?

I’m a first year international business student at a russel group uni and i’m trying to improve my employability for Consulting. I’m a course rep and have applied to a couple spring weeks however i was late to applying because I recently decided not to do a year abroad and so my degree is now three years instead of four. I also do French as an open module so I can work towards becoming fluent and have a language skill. I’m part of a couple societies, but don’t think team sports are for me even though I know that looks valuable. Is there anything else I could do to improve? I’m looking at perhaps volunteering if I can fit it in alongside working and my degree. Is it worth doing online certificates in the summer such as learning the basics of Python, or are these just seen as things to boost your LinkedIn but not really impressive to an employer?
