Does it matter if I have work experience at a petrol station in Rotherham, England but I live in the South East of England? Does it look like I am lying?

Likely no.

If it does come up, they will ask about it. However, chances are they won't care about the location, just what you did.

If anything, they would be assuming that you did it during a holiday period or there were special reasons for you to work in another part of the country.
