Psychology with Counselling degree advice...

Hi,

I am currently studying Psychology with Counselling and I am in my final year.

I want to become a Counsellor, this degree will not qualify me as a Counsellor so I need advice on where to start to being a qualified counsellor.

So far my options are:
Msc Counselling
Trainee Professional Wellbeing Practitioner jobs
4 year trainee counsellor NHS job (I cannot find anything about this, a friend told me about this)

I rather not to go into education after I graduate as I want to work but are there any other options that I can go to?

Anything is appreciated and TYIA!

I'd assume that the 4-year trainee counsellor thingy your friend told you about is the trainee professional wellbeing practioner thing you listed.

I have very little advice other than check the NHS careers website on counsellors: https://www.healthcareers.nhs.uk/explore-roles/psychological-therapies/roles/counsellor and check the list of accredited counselling providers to check what you may be able to do to join them: https://www.professionalstandards.org.uk/check-practitioners/practitioner/counselor
