How to revise for higher English

• make mind maps for set text
- you can make a few for the critical essay with the question in the middle and the topics you’ll write your paragraphs about around it, then with quotes and some analysis surrounding them
- for the questions part you can make mind maps with the different themes, characters, etc
• quiz yourself on quizlet
- this can work for both set text and ruae
• read articles online and search for where the writers use language - this can help with picking out quotes for ruae
• learn the structures for all of your answers (sst and ruae)
• you could also learn the sentence structure functions and i’d recommend using quizlet for that as it’s so much easier
• do past papers !! most teachers will happily mark them for u
• regularly revise to keep the information in your long term memory
