I'm unsure if you can answer this, but do people who don't meet the prioritised criteria have much of a chance?

Hi i have a question, I got an offer for UNIQ however one of my allocated dates happen to fall on a prior engagement I cannot miss. If i press on the confirmation that says "I cannot attend my allocated dates" will i lose my spot? Or will i be reallocated a date?
On the email it says: "If you cannot make your residential dates, please select ‘I cannot make my allocated dates’ on the confirmation form and read the information on that page carefully." Does anyone know what the information is? I don't want to press it in case it's irreversible.😢
if i got into theology and religion but am not considering that course any more as it was a second choice ( but might still do something philosophy related ) would it still be useful to go ?

It could be fun either way! And there is a good change that it might touch upon some relevant topics  but totally up to you!

yes an external company will pay for your travel
okay so this is more to do with actually staying there but what do u do with ur dirty clothes😭 like am i just expected to keep them with me or is there somewhere i can do laundry. also i know we get a room to ourselves but does that mean we have to share bathrooms? like a communal shower for the whole floor or something
Bathroom facilities vary from college to college and within colleges, some rooms are ensuite but many have shared facilities - one bathroom or shower room to every few rooms. Oxford college accommodation can be spartan. The buildings are often old and the money is mostly spent on teaching, research, and/or stopping the roof from falling off. Do not expect fancy digs, but look out of the window - Oxford!

There is a coin-operated laundry in every college.

I am serious. I think that you might have a think about your First World middle class assumptions. Millions of people across the World live without clean water, let alone en suite bathrooms, and even in the UK many people live in crowded flats with limited facilities; but that by the by.

The oldest quadrangle in Oxford dates from the fourteenth century (it's in Merton College). In my first year (in another college), I and another undergraduate lived in a large and beautiful set of three rooms which had not changed much the seventeenth century, when the college was built. There was one toilet and a bathroom four floors below. That was a while back. Nowadays, there are more toilets and more bathrooms, but by no means all of the student rooms have en suite facilities. Old colleges have buildings ranging from medieval to built last year. More recent colleges have buildings ranging from the C19 or C20 to built last years. The type of rooms and the facilities available vary a lot.

The accommodation and the food at Oxford and Cambridge tend to be cheaper than they are at other universities. The colleges subsidise the costs. The colleges will provide you with three meals a day if you want them. They used to make your bed for you but don't do that any more. The idea is for the students to focus on academic work first, having fun second, and not to worry much about daily chores.

The rooms are often a bit basic and they may be a bit drab, but step outside of your room and, look, there is the Radcliffe Camera. And you can go into it. Look, there's your tutor, the World's Number One expert in your current module. That's the deal.

Completely unrelated but can I ask what your pfp is? I'm thinking probably from a Jimmy Stewart movie but I'm not sure if it's him or which one it's from
