URGENT uni of york accomodation can i still apply??

so i haven't firmed any of my uni choices yet, but applications open soon for york can i still apply for accomodation as i am considering the uni or do i HAVE to firm it now in order to access applications later? pleaseee help someone asap! thank youu

You cannot apply for accommodation until you have made your firm / insurance choice in UCAS Hub. But there is no hurry to apply for accomodation. Although some universities allocate accomodation in a first-come, first-served basis (which is against UCAS rules, by the way), York don't. The used to, but they don't any more.

So you're likelihood of getting the accomodation you want is the same regardless of whether you apply today, next month, or in two months from now. So don't panic.
