Would anyone who is doing a psychology degree/has done one think its more competitive than medicine?

For undergraduate entry? You're joking, right?
Sounds like I'm thinking in the same way as a lot of people... I'm only in my first year of a four year course and I really wish I'd chosen medicine. From what I've seen, it's the psychiatrists with the medical degrees who really help patients. I'm struggling to see what benefit psychology actually has in the real world, but maybe that will change next year as the course goes into greater depth.

For postgraduate work experience etc for clinical psychology. Its just I saw somewhere that it was difficult to find it.

For postgrad, then yeah, I would say that the competition is pretty comparable to undergrad medicine.
