Enter "Who wants to be a millionaire?" and win.

Yeah, this.

Even better, go on the Indian one as the questions are much easier  . Anyone who's seen Slumdog Millionaire will know this. Great film.

depends on what currency you want, because i know for Indian Ruppes £1 = around Rs. 70 so earn £100 000, and you got yourself Rs. £7m

open a business, save retained profit accordingly, have patience and fly off to India to build your mansion or wateva u wana do wid that money

I love this film. I hope it wins the oscar.

Spoiler

I suppose we could enter and win the Indian version four successive times, although this may be stretching luck a little too far.

Ooh yeah I hope it does too.

Haha, I didn't realise, I just assumed that it would roughly equal £1 million. Yeah, I think that would be pushing it a bit.

In the current climate I see only 4 ways:

1. Become a premier league football player
2. Become a popular hollywood actor/actress
3. Succesful Hedge funds
4. Win the money via a game show/lottery

did the OP specify a timeframe?
If thats the singular aim its pretty doable in a lifetime :P
Aces&Diamonds
so true.
I want to see slumdog millionaire now :frown: darn snow.

It's a really good movie actually, really heart-warming and sweet. Aside from all the gore and violence!

And on the shares issue, I've made 100% profit in the last week.

That's far from usual though.
Aces&Diamonds
Err, there's gore and violence in the film?
Haha and how did you manage to make that profit?

Well, there's a surprising amount actually, but it's perfectly manageable!

I invested in Lloyds. With the fears of nationalisation the share price dropped to 10 times less than its price a few years ago, and now its rising again, so I was lucky enough to buy at the right time.

Well, firstly save up a bit of money. Start a tutoring session for atleast 5 children who need it. you could brobably get 100 pound a week for 5 kids. then expand. if you have like 20 children, ask someone else you help with the tutoring. By the tme you get like 20 children you would have made atleast 2000 pound a week. try that for 52 weeks and you would probabaly get around 104 grand. If you have a time limit of say 3 years then get more children. Make room for more children. so if you have like 30 kids througought the day (not all at the same time) you'd get 156 grand. Expand if you can!

Hope that helped. Im only 12 and if your wonderin how I thought of that then basically my tutor does that and he's also a school teacher. I jsut made that idea up myself....
