Russian and Slavonic Studies at Nottingham

I'm considering applying to do Russian studies with either english or contemporary chinese in 2010, providing I get the right grades at AS. I was just wondering if anyone does this subject and whether they could just tell me whether it's decent or not! Thanks :smile:

I think it's going to be hard to get into as they offer less post A-level places than beginner places apparently!

Hey,

I do Russian and Chinese and I have friends who do Russian and English.
Post A-Level places and beginners are two totally different things because not many people do A-level Russian. Also Russian & Chinese means you have to have done Russian at A-level to do that course (because you can only start one new language a year, basically).

What did you specifically want to know? :smile:

Hi, sorry the reply is so late haven't been on here in ages!
I take it you did Russian at A-Level then? I'm just starting my A2 in Russian.
I just want to know what the course is like and why you chose Nottingham over any others?
