I've got an offer from Durham but still waiting to hear what college! How long did it take them to tell you?

St Chad's sounds good, I'd be very happy to get in there. Very academic, Bailey but friendly, as far as I've heard.

It's been 2 weeks since I received my acknowledgement email and AES still says this:
•Your application has been received by the University
•Your application has not yet been received by the Department

Is this "normal"? Thanks :smile:

I don't know... maybe it depends on the course?
I sent my application (English Literature) on Tuesday (I think), received an acknowledgement on Wednesday and my AES already says:
* Your application has been received by the Department
* Your application has not yet been received by a College

Aberystwyth, St Andrews and Cambridge for geog - and UCL for Icelandic

what about you? and are you post a level applicant or ?

Tbh they're probably looking at my application and going 'Ewwwww, she wants to take a gap year', which doesn't bode particularly well for me. Haha! :rolleyes:

They will probably take more time with yours because of that though, you are right :smile:

Oh poor you, tuition fee rise!!! I couldn't believe my 'AES' when it changed to 'In college'... Silly Durham, I thought I was safe till January.... Now I just want to know which college my application is dwelling in :P

Sorry to be nosey but did AES update to 'sent to a college' before UCAS gave you the offer? My AES says 'your application has been recieved by a college. A decision has not yet been made, see UCAS for further details.' But UCAS hasn't updated!
Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get offered/rejected after AES says 'recieved by college'?
