Hi, I have an interview on tuesday for primary education at Northampton university and i have been asked to prepare a 'topic to teach' to 5/6 other applicants and to treat them as if they are in year three.
My passion is to specialise in maths so i need to choose a topic that is related to maths... i was considering teaching fractions.
The problems are i dont know if this would be an exciting topic and im confused on the level of fractions to teach because different websites say different things.
After the teaching part i have to give a speech on how i would continue to teach my subject for five minutes and then have a one to one interview.
I am so nervous and was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice or tips? How am i meant to speak for five minutes about how i would continue teaching fractions and what will they ask in the one to one interview?
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!
thanks in advance!!
