Late applications for hospital work experience

I'm 16, studying in Year 11. I'm in need of work experience to do in the Summer. Ideally, I'd like to do this in a hospital as I'd like to study Medicine, but I had this long period where I was unsure of whether or not I was suitable to become a doctor and now everywhere I apply to seem to have no work experience placements left. What should I do?

You can volunteer, either at a nursing home or at a hospital (have a look on NHS jobs or contact your local hospital trust). You could also join St. John Ambulance, or ask your GP surgery if you can do some shadowing.
