Retaking an alevel exam while at university ...

I got in to a good university to study law with French, however I am disappointed with my results,
I obtained abb with both the bs being very high (one of the Bs is currently being remarked as it was 1 mark off an A)

However, assuming this B does not go up to an A, should I retake an exam to bring my grades up to AAB? Would this be a significant benefit when applying to law firms?

Don't you need to be doing straight Law in order to qualify to apply to Law firms?
