I am beginning my a levels in September and for history I've been giving summer work, the essay question is:
to what extent did rebellions pose a serious threat to the state during the reigns of Elizabeth I and James I?
I have two rebellions to write about (Rising of the North and the gunpowder plot) but I don't know any counter arguments and how to structure it please help!

Seems like you need help with the development of the argument for your position as well as the structure of the essay. Am I right?
