Are pug owners blind?

I mean pugs are a very unattractive breed of dogs.
They look weird and they sound weird

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder innit
I don't think pugs make very good guide dogs.

Finally, someone said it. The love for pugs will die, just another stupid modern day trend.

They aren't exactly cats but they are just as loveable  :teehee:

When it comes to pets, why should looks matter? Sounds soppy but you know the pet for you just by looking at them - conventionally attractive looking breed or not :h:

except that they are ridiculously unhealthy and shouldn't even exist were it not for human intervention

Yeah that's the downside... They can be healthy but you just need to take more precautions with them.

Her boyfriend is part of the reason why we have this stupid pug craze

Also, the signs of age are already showing even though she's still in her 20s lol

Yes.
German shepherds and labs are proper real dogs
To support the creation/perpetuation of a dog breed that struggles from all kinds of problems (breathing, etc) because they think it looks "cute", I think you'd need to be ethically blind.

:toofunny:

Nonsense.

Pugs became 'trendy' in London about 5 or 6 years ago.

Naturally the rich and famous were first to adopt this craze. This undoubtedly did increase the appeal of the dogs.

Nothing to do with a youtube personality most adults haven't heard of.
Have you seen bloody chihuahuas?
They're sooooooo much worse >.>
My pug's adorable and doesn't suffer from any of the regular disabilities other than being epileptic,

Their main disability is that they can barely breath properly.

That's the trouble with endless cross-breeding.

Pugs shouldn't really exist.
I definitely agree, but theoretically, the same could be said for breeds such as great danes. Their enormous size and build leads to a life span of around 6-8 years and serious heart problems.
