EPQ Question: Is it okay?

I'm doing the EPQ with AQA (5000 word essay) and my question is:
'How far did (Insert name here) imprisonment impact the lives of American citizens and to what extent did his subsequent work in civil rights, upon his release, impact the lives of wrongly imprisoned people in Canada?'
Do you guys think it's too broad or too long a question?
I think it's too broad. Whoever this person is you want to analyse their impact on the lives on American and Canadian people. Stick to one I'd say. The length of the question will reduce too

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking of just sticking with the first half.

Great, sounds good. To give my advice some credibility, I did my EPQ last year, title was 'Will India overtake China in economic growth?'. Point to take- a small question can be developed a lot!
