Graphic Design Portfolio

What sort of thing should I include in my Graphic Design Portfolio?

We have only been told that we need to bring 'a portfolio', which is really vague.

Any tips on how to put together the perfect portfolio would be appreciated.

And any links to your portfolios would also be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Have a look at http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=974132

And make sure you read through ALL the information you get from your universities/colleges....and if it isn't clear from what you receive what is expected then get in touch with them and ask for more guidance.

i dont know whether its too late to reply now but you should include book covers, movie/band posters, maybe some photography if the programme is called "graphic and communication design". they also want to see sketchbooks, work in progress, not just finished, polished work. the ones at UAL (i believe) and Middlesex have some tips on youtube. you can also look up the graphic design portfolio at Kingston, it is really helpful. GSA have also portfolio examples on their website. hope i helped! good luck
