Why do so many people criticise Islam but not Hinduism?

I mean, people criticise Islam for oppression of women's rights, violence and failing to assimilate but the same could be said for Hinduism. In India, a Hindu country, there's:
- A huge rape problem
- Women are expected to stay at home, working has a stigma attached for women
- Women on a period are not allowed in Hindu relgious shrines and in Nepal they are forced to live outside in makeshift huts
- Literacy rate for women is a lot lower than for men
- Child marriage is huge problem , 49% of women are married off before the age of 18
- Hindu extremists persecute Christians and Muslims, kill missionaries and those who eat beef
- Being gay is illegal and gay marriage is illegal. Homosexuality is greatly despised of in India
- The caste system

Because despite the fact that Hinduism as with most religions has flaws, unlike Islam, it's not a threat to the world. Hindus for the most part are able to adapt to where they move to, Muslims, not so much and thas due to the teachings of Islam.

People criticise Christianity more than all of them.
The most persecuted minority in the world is Christianity.

I think the reason people criticise Islam more is because of the popular notion of Islamophobiaphobia and so many people want to rebel against it and start equally criticising Islam.

Also, just because India is a Hindu country doesn't mean the things going on in the country are because of Hinduism.

Why is Islam more of a threat to the world when Hinduism is already such a threat to India? Perhaps if we had mass Hindu immigration we'd have the same problems as with Islam, maybe even worse

Christianity is the most persecuted religion, I agree. Just look at what's happening in the Middle East and in India. But the problems that I outlined on Hinduism and Hindu Indian culture, just like Islamic problems are based on Islamic culture, surely?

Hinduism isn't a threat in India just like Islam isn't a threat in say Pakistan. Most people there are Hindus and so follow it to the t. It's a threat to the minorities in India, not the world.

Hindus are able to adapt? How? Go around Leicester, Birmingham, north-west London and the like and you'll see Hindu enclaves with areas that are predominantly Hindu. Doesn't look they're integrating tbh
You forgot about the ongoing Caste issues as well.

Because it is for the rest of the world or should I rephrase and say non Muslim world as Islam for Muslims is the be all and end all. Hinduism is dharmic and so fluid most easily moulded by culture as there is so much going on in Hinduism anyway. Islam however is dictated by on book only. the Quran. And so if Muslims don't follow the Quran they are not Muslim and the people following Quran the most it seems are Isis and co. Therefore, making islam a threat.

You ever been to Bradford or Leeds? Will make the cities you mentioned look insanely British lmao
There's no actual relevance between Hinduism and these things in India.

Yes Hinduism maybe a problem but name a religion which doesn't have flaws. Each religion is sexist in some way. Each individual has its own perception on the religion which then is what is the threat to society. How does one person become more religious? When new people join to a different religion they have their own views of how to be part of that community and therefore thinks they know what god wants them to do or preach. This then is what we should be worrying about...
Because we are not living in India in this country Hindus don't cause problems. Also there was a whole thing about that girl who was raped and it was described as a more societal problem that also exists in Pakistan as more generalised misogyny.
You're 100% right, Hinduism is a huge problem in India and one of the primary reasons why Indias in the state that it's in (a bad one). Hindu extremists frequently target Christians and kill people for even eating beef.

1. It does but only in few states. It is quite safe largely.
2. They were traditionally expected to but not anymore(because of culture).
3. I have not in the 17 years of my life that I have lived in North India witnessed or heard of this happen but indeed it probably does happen in some rare places.
4.True.
5. I dont think that is true.
6.I agree it does but it also happens the other way around.
7.Homosexuality was legalised in Delhi last year and I'm pretty sure that it will be legalised all over India within a few years. The vast majority of young people dont have a problem with it.
