i wrote about how a pulse raiser would increase the amount of oxygen being supplied to his muscles so he would be less likely to experience fatigue as quickly as his muscles would not need to respire anaerobically.
Then i spoke about stretching and that it can prevent injury and also allow james to take bigger strides so he could complete the race quicker.
I also briefly touched on the idea of doing sport related drills however this was not really appropriate for the question
