Ask 30 undergraduates and extrapolate for the population. It's like research involving 12 women which concluded all women bisexual, which is why social sciences have such a bad reputation.

Women 10 years ago: "You men need to open up more, emotionally, and be more sensitive!"
Women now: "Men are too emotionally involved with their other male friends and it's potentially ruining the need for heterosexual relationships!"

Name a time when most men were in the habit of talking to women.

Where doesn't it say the researchers are feminists. They're men for starters. They point out a phenomenon and suggest it could have an impact. Sure the sample is small, though that criticism isn't used to much on TSR, many here don't realize that thr samples size does not need to be huge if the identification an die sampling was good.

Anyway, what they describe is certainly an accurate picture of many on TSR.
