better it be plain than it be covered in disgusting cheese.

No no, thats the only way to have it
Best is:
Turkey, roast beef, stuffing, Yorkshire's, Pigs in blanket, crispy roast potatoes, broccoli, carrots, parsnips, red/savoye cabbage, sprouts, gravy w/ bread sauce and Cranberry sauce.

I will fight anyone that thinks mash is better than roast.

Why are so many reckoning roast turkey is the best roast meat? It's usually overcooked and rather tasteless.

Roast goose is much better for a Christmas roast, and good old roast chicken (stuffed simply with halfed lemons, and coated in a bit of butter) should be an every Sunday delight.

Roast pork can be a bit meh, and getting good crackling seems very tricky :frown:

Roast lamb is usually excellent.

Oh, and don't get me started on whole baked fish: trout... seabass... snapper... yum.

(But rib of beef is still the best  )

How about roast spuds AND mash (especially mash with a dollop of wholegrain mustard and olive oil).
SPROUTS!!!!:shakecane:

Nobody on the first page mentions sprouts. After the meat this is the most important thing.:yep:

TSR, why have you turned my list formatting into an unreadble word blob?
Chicken or beef, crispy roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, carrots, peas, pigs in blankets and gravy. And the gravy has to in the yorkies too. Oooh yeah and stuffing!

Never understood the obsession with mash.
