What about it don't you understand?
It's binomial probability, testing to see the maximum number of appointments that can be booked while still having a 90% chance of all the patients who turn up still being able to be seen :smile:

whne doing the binomial probability what power would you put 0.2 to?
how many powers can test for 0.2 before moving to n=18, n=19

0.2 goes to the power of x
You're testing to see if you can book 18 appointments while only having 16 turn up, so you test up to x=2 for 18, and up to x=3 for 19.
