"Belief that God" does not make sense. You can not "Have a Belief That God". You need to finish it with "Belief that God is omnipotent" or some crap like that

So 'belief in God' means that you believe in God, for example "My belief in God helps me in life."

'Belief that God' would be statement that would lead to an action. For example "I have the belief that God is loving."

belief in refers to faith/trust in something.

belief that refers to accepting a proposition to be true.
