AS Psychology 9990 tips - I got an A

I only started studying in January and then took the exam in May, so it is definitely doable in that time frame. However, if you can start now and space out your repetition, I'm sure you can do even better than I did

The most efficient way to revise depends heavily on the type of learner that you are. I'm a visual/kinesthetic learner so the best way for me was to read the textbook and original studies, make notes from them, rewrite my notes at regular intervals based on memory and then check my original notes to see what information I had forgotten and focused on that, as well as using flashcards for some of it.

I'm doing CIE (Cambridge) But most of the tips I have included can be applied to other boards as well as some other subjects.

hey did u do aslevel only? I had a d in it and will be taking it as an accel along with the a2 exams do u have any tips on how to study properly for it? Last time i made mind maps and everything so didntreally understand why i didnt get an a any tips?? I did cie p1 p2

Hi I just did my A2 exams and I will be getting my results in January so I won't know how well my study methods worked for A2 until I receive my results. However, I can tell you for sure that active recall is the best way to study for psychology, especially because there is so much to remember.

In my opinion, there is A LOT to remember for A2 psych so doing AS & A2 psych together, while not impossible, is quite a big challenge. I think the AS papers are earlier than the A2 ones so you could always study both and then when it gets closer to the AS exams, focus on that but also do light active recall for A2 syllabus.

congrats on the grade! 😁The posts on ur blog are all from reliable sources or mostly from the book? Are these the ones u used for the exams ? I wanted to know wht questions did u make essay plans on? Did u memorize the answers to evaluation questions for the study or just the points like Aims Background etc? Can u share those notes or essay plans if possible or email them to me if u can? That would be really helpful , also can u give tips on how u managed ur time during the A2 pprs as there are lots of questions but not enough time i have noticed ? And is using the original studies important or is the book enough for the A*? I had a d in Aslevel but not sure what i did wrong 😣😣 as i had memorized from the book too and made mind maps etc any tips on bringing the grade up?
