So I'll be applying for the second time last time I didn't pass all the online tests...I want to apply to general management and perhaps HR, what about yourself?

hopefully you'll pass the tests this time! i'm thinking of applying for the policy and strategy and general management too. i'm really worried about the online tests as there's so many and i'm not particularly good at aptitude tests.

I hope so too ! yes there are quite a few tests I think practice is key and finding what works for you for example some people do the tests all in one sitting where as others prefer to do them on different days ...but good luck I'm sure you'll be fine !

Hi everyone, did anyone do an internship this summer, and if so, what in?
This is the most difficult graduate scheme application i have ever done. Even more harder than the civil service fast stream!

This will be my THIRD attempt. Anyone who has done the scheme give me an idea on how to pass and progress. Because covid has ****ed up the job market and i can't stand living at home anymore.
Hiya, I'm applying too. How many specialisms can we apply for? And does anyone know if the tests are timed? Thanks!

Good luck this time round! Which stream did you apply for? I feel like general management is more competitive than the other ones

The applications aint open yet but i would be probably applying to general management. I would also like to apply for policy as well but i think it is all too competitive and would be waste of my time.

With the way coronavirus has ruined the uk, I am tempted to just drag my time staying in uni and do a Phd next year cause i am unemployable.

Sorry to hear your frustration! But you're right it's really hard to get on a graduate scheme and now covid is going to make it extremely difficult. This will be my second attempt but this time I'm going to try to learn from my previous mistake which was not preparing for the tests and not leaving enough time to do them in. Lets see what happens! Good luck !!!

I was worried about the numerical reasoning as maths isn't my strong point but it turned out last year that it was so easy and actually the verbal reasoning was quite difficult and english is my strong point !!! so yeah I think practice is key, although I have no time as atm I'm working full time and learning to drive sooo..... let's see how it goes second time lucky maybe? haha

Good luck! I failed my first driving but passed the second time lol! I am doing a Numerical Practical Test now and I'm really getting rusty with maths, I think this will be my problem. I graduated in 2017 so this is going to be tough!

Hi - here are some useful links I've been using:
https://www.graduatesfirst.com/nhs-aptitude-tests
https://www.practiceaptitudetests.com/
https://practice.cappassessments.com/

Hope you find these helpful!
I applied last year and this will be my second time applying. I’m feeling even less confident than last year though. Imagine the sheer amount of applicants...
