No idea

But a whole bunch of the information they ask for (region, sex etc.) has no bearing on your chances of admission.

Lol I put the name as Douche Bag and used a backup email address which I no longer use. It would require an actuary to actually work it out.

As well as the points above, it’s also worth pointing out that you couldn’t really be expected to have a much higher percentage especially for the most competitive courses (I think for economics at Oxford it’s something like 16 applicants per place?) so your chances for that wouldn’t be very high anyway regardless of your alevel choices/grades etc. :smile:

They're trying to sell a product. While they're doing it, they're trying to collect as much data as possible on their users. The whole thing is pretty manipulative, from their refusal to state prices upfront, claiming a success rate '3x the national average' (even though this is - if true - almost certainly because they select students to work with by ability) and countless other things.

Their calculator is also deliberately lying to students. You can input the top value for every single field and get 17.5%. That's less than the average success rate. (I wonder why they'd do that :hmmm:

)

Can confirm this is a scam. Or is we're generous, just completely wrong.

Plugging all the best stats for classics - a course with a 42% application to acceptance rate - it claims the chances are 19.5%. Absolute lies.
