I've started this thread to separate Economics applicants from the main Warwick 2021 applicants page.

I am predicted A*A*A for Economics, Politics and Maths.

Also applied to Bristol, Nottingham, Leeds and Newcastle with all 4 offers.

Is Warwick your likely first choice?

I'm unsure between Warwick and LSE but it's defo one of my top choices. How about you?

LSE will have less of a fun uni experience, but you will have extremely good graduate prospects and people always say LSE trains you really well for the best jobs. However, it will be more expensive and its in a city rather than warwick which is in coventry. If you are not a very social person I would say LSE because your one of a select few to be even given the opportunity.
I'm an International Baccalaureate Student. I've applied for Warwick, Durham, Exeter (Econ and Finance), Bristol (Econ and Finance) and Bath.

My Stats are: 7 (Econ) 7 (Global Politics) 6 (Maths A and A) 7 (Environmental Systems) 6 (French) 5 (English Lit) and 3 points for Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge.

I have offers from Durham and Bristol for 36 and 32 points respectively (with a 6 in Maths)

Hi, I applied to Warwick (econs), UCL (econs), KCL (Econs), LSE (Econs and econ hist), Bristol (Econs)

I am predicted 4a* with epq a* achieved

I applied on 23rd december and did not hear back yet

Ah we've applied to the same LSE course! How much Econ history did you have in your PS?
Not much tbh, of my 4 main paragraphs it's one of them. Not sure if that's enough but we'll see I guess
Just interested to hear how you guys stay up to date/learn more about economics outside of school? Personally, I read articles of interest on the FT and The Economist but I am curious to hear how other people stay up to date with the subject.

FT through my school account and Bloomberg (God bless the 3 month $0.99 offer where I create a new account every 3 months).

I'm mainly interested in energy, agricultural and mineral economics. So I also read a lot of S&P Platts. But that's quite specialist.

Yeah I do the same, I also read reuters daily. The app also send a notification everytime there's notable economic news e.g BofE changing base interest rate or updates on quarterly GDP growth etc. Both the FT and The Economist are very good too.
Applied with A*A*A (Maths, Further Maths, Geography)

Also applied to LSE (waiting), Southampton (Offer), Bristol (Offer), Loughborough (Offer)

GCSEs are a bit below some other applications I’ve seen (98877666665) but hoping for an offer still

Has anyone receive an offer yet? I applied on late October and haven’t heard anything yet. But there are plenty of them who applied later than me had already received an offer 😭
Applied at the start of November and received an offer just 10 days later. Predicted A*A*A*

warwick applicants spreadsheet

Spreadsheet? Do you mean the Warwick 2021 Applicants Thread on TSR?
Hey guys, does anyone know how competitive this course is? I've applied for PPE at Warwick but am strongly considering asking to switch to straight Economics but I'm worried that Econ is more competitive and I will likely get rejected.

I'm a gap year student and have achieved A*A*A in Economics, Politics and Philosophy and I'm predicted A in Maths. Do you recon Its likely I'll get an offer?
