Convention goes we win the semi-finals. And every semi final we beat chelsea in we have gone on to win the whole thing...

S'excellent, will be seeing some sexi football then. He'd better not turn into the utlitarian prick his record suggests.

Bugger. That rules out the league, CS and SC then. :frown:

Oh, well...

We'll Win it 6 times,
We'll win it 6 ti-mes,
In gay, ermm, Athens,
We'll win it 6 times.

Ermm, convention goes that we play each other at least 5 times a season?!

 :p:

But, arsenal know that they have toplay football to win the game. In the 2nd leg semis, Arsenal could get away with not playing proper football because all they had to do was draw.
Common sense prevails. The public backlash against mclaren and we finnaly get a manager wholl have us playing entertaining footie and wont be afraid to chop people.
I hope you win it, and then the FA and UEFA print out all of wengers comments about liverpool defending the trophy from last year. Email them to him with a little memo reading..'if you say so' and see him moan some more.

Rooney? Sorry but what has he won?

Lol, chelsea fan.

i think the comparrison of tottenham and everton in this whole debate is completely wrong. if you look at how the two teams have played over the two seasons there are significant differences.
Ummmmmmm!!!

I think every one of you forgot to include Ian WRIGHT WRIGHT WRIGHT.

Seriously, he is maybe on par with Shearer and Cantona for greatest premiership striker of our era...

Then we have the other ref that disallowed Sols goal against Argentina in 98 due to an off ball incident which in no way affected the outcome of that goal.

apart from shearer jostling the keeper?

G. Neville Stam Adams Irwin

Beckham R.Keane Vieira Giggs

Shearer Henry

If your team doesn't look like that, it's wrong.
I think it's a good choice. Sure, he can't speak English very well but neither can Benitez, and look what he's done at Liverpool.

Frankly, none of the English candidates have the experience at an international level (with the exception of McLaren, but he is just not good enough). This guy won the World Cup with Brazil, he won't waste the team's brilliant attacking players by playing tedious defensive football, and above all he won't be scared to drop Beckham.

Everyone's a winner.

An amalgamation of the Sunderland teams from this year and 2002

I'm currently being coached by a bloke who played in the Stoke team that currently hold the record for lowest points in a top flight season (17 in 42 games, 1983-4). He's very, very keen for Sunderland to break that record this year. Anyway he reckons that Stoke team were "f*****g awful" - a lot worse than Sunderland are this year.

Neville-----Colin Hendry------Steve Bruce-----Graeme le Saux

Beckham------Stevie G-------Giggs

Le Tissier

Shearer-----------------Henry

Zola+Cantona were great, but tehy seem to get more praise cos they played for Chelsea/Man U. Le Tis was amazing. Just get pissed off cos all the best goals he scored always seemed to be against us (Rovers), so for years they kept getting repeated ad nausuem.

It's just like Soccer AM.

Don't blame the FA, blame your owner who is subsidising Hiddink's next job.

No that happened afterwards. Oh well, Chelsea manager in waiting.

Football is the winner, best two attacking teams in the world

Excluding South American sides, presumably. Stop living on your past reputation a few seasons ago. Even Chelsea have scored more goals than you this season.

Ok we arnt consistent but when we turn it on and play our flowing football it is only comparable with Barcelona (VS Boro and Everton are good examples) It's as much the mentality as anything else

Against Boro who had a lot of injuries and played a lot of non-starters who were crud anyway? Chelsea showed their attacking potential against West Ham and Everton (replay in the FA Cup).
