I went on the SU website and saw that the freshers passports have been sold out, a pity really!
I don't think a platinum card is worth it for me, so I was wondering if I have to wait a lot to get in or if I'll have trouble buying tickets to the events...

If there's anything you want to go to, buy your ticket to it now to avoid the possibility (probability?) of it selling out before the day itself, which would mean the only tickets on the door would be once people start leaving....

the sports fayre is on Tuesday from 10 till 4, I know that much. where do I find out when the different sports have their first sessions (taster sessions, trials, what have you)? and also where do I find out when the fitness suite/performance weights room has any sessions or induction or whatever?

I've made some taster sessions booklets which will be sent around the halls with the other sabbs over arrivals weekend, including LP/PP. There'll also be the info sent out in e-mails once you have joined warwicksport and clubs you are interested in, the leaflets with the info will be available at sports fair, and all the clubs at sports fair will be very keen to tell you all about their events when you speak to them!

All will be revealed, you don't need to know everything before you arrive!

when do we find out the times of our seminars? I have my timetable with my lecture slots and I need the seminar times to plan my sports, societies, gym and socialising around it.

I've just read that we need to bring 2 passport sized photographs with us when we arrive. Is it true? Why do we need them?

i know this question has been asking a gazillion of times, but i can't be bothered searching for it through the pages.

just wanna ask, can we do heavy downloads? like downloads of movies and stuff on a frequent basis. i know there isn't really a quota, but will they ever tell us off for over downloading?

Guys, I'm gonna bring two six packs of lager (probably Stella), and 2 bottles of vodka and some mixers (coke, pineapple juice, fruit punch). Think that's enough for the first day, or do people usually bring more?

That's complete ********. How else am I gonna watch my favourite tv shows which are not aired in the UK?
How would they know that you're using torrents though? Is it from using a specific port or just watching how much you download, or something else?

Well, House is on sky (with like a monthly delay between US airing dates), which of course I will not be getting, and I don't even know if Metalocalypse is aired in the UK. The only way I can watch new episodes is by torrenting them.
