Hey  I know that London is pretty expensive compared to other places. Did you find it hard to balance your money ? Also, does the uni offer a service to help you find a part time job? Thanks

Well I found it easy to manage a part time job whilst on my degree, it definitely helped having a bit of an income! I worked from 3-12 hours a week but some even worked almost full time as you're only usually in lectures 2-3 days a week (although it varies). The uni is great with helping you with jobs, they even have an on-site agency called Blue Arrow. You can join for free and you can get called up if they find a job suitable for you! Hope that helps.

I'm not sure, I don't even know what UCAS points are lol. I just had a pass or fail...but Roehampton would most likely be a bit more flexible.

It's ok, feel free

That's exactly the two subjects I took; Journalism and News Media and Media and Culture! They're both great, interesting subjects but I found that both courses really lacked a practical side, most of it was theory. In my first year I was in the most, about 3-4 days a week, then the second year about 2-3 days and then the final year I only had lectures one day a week! There is no pressure, other than deadlines but they are manageable...

As for international students, I know they put on events especially for you as well as lots of other freshers events, don't be nervous...the uni is a lovely place and it's easy to make friends!

that sounds prettyyy good..! hehe :p:

ok so my dads getting a little nervous and saying that i wont be able to find any jobs if i do this course unless im really good :s-smilie: is that really the case? i mean..will there be a lack of job opportunities?
ok so thats a little into the future!

i looked at a few pictures of the uni and i was seriously impressed..looks amazing...but i couldnt really see much to do with the accommodation? which one were u in? ive been given a room in Newman at the moment (thought im asking them if i could get an ensuite instead), is it a nice place?

thank you so much for making me feel a little less nervous!

I wouldn't worry about the job side of things, you can join the job agency on campus and they help you find suitable vacancies!

The uni is beautiful and very picturesque at all times of the year, there is always something going on. I'm not sure about the accomodation as I have always lived off-campus but from the ones I have visited, Froebel is definitely the nicest. If you stay in Digby then you better like partying as it gets a bit rowdy
