Why must this process be so agonizing? Re-applicants, I commend you!
Fair enough, let us know how it goes

Btw you still haven't mentioned your UKCAT score.. if you don't want to then don't, but that could be the reason why you haven't got an interview atm

no i have got an interview... had it way back on 21st in jan.. ??
Anyway yeah i rang the admissions up- a really friendly lady spoke to me she told me last interview dates were 23rd of feb.. anndd that the interview is used for selection and that most of us will hear early march/end of feb.
She said she can't say how many offers are being given out as she doesn't know due to the fact that they need to see how we've all done at interview or something first.. :/
Also has no clue about ukcat cut off as they[re still handing out interviews.
Said i need to relax and take a holiday until then! LOL

Ahh so you're a re-applicant/gapper :h:

Early March? :emo:
Seems so far away :erm:

Yeah that makes sense about the offers.. they won't give an offer for the sake of it :nah:

Sounds like a plan! Where are you going to go for a few weeks then? :h:

The interviews are really as friendly as everyone says.. much more the general chat than grilling :yep:

Though if you say that you want to study at QMUL they might shoot you :colone:

And it seems peoples interviews have varied a lot, but with mine it was more the ethics side to things

(yes, I'm being vague.. that's because there are rules about discussing interviews :h:)
Original post by xy7690*
what do u mean if u say u want to study at qmul? do you have to say barts or something

fair dues with being vague :P thanks for letting me no, i was jus wondering if it is as ppl hve sed so friendly

Well you don't have to say Barts and the London.. but try telling the students they study at QMUL

When you come back from your interview you can tell us how friendly it is :h:
I was interviewed today, and to be honest the only part of the interview that was nice were the introductions by the interviewers

Once it began, the first guy looked like he was completely disinterested in what I had to say and occasionally wasn't even looking. The second guy then would ask his questions, and consistently interrupt me 20 seconds into my answer with some sort of counter argument, although I had barely begun to develop my views. Once he even interrupted almost instantaneously with another question

It has left me feeling really low. I am more annoyed at myself for letting it get to me during the interview. I kept telling myself they must be trying to push me into a corner and see how i react, just stay calm and finish what you have to say. I went in expecting difficult questions, but I didn't expect them to feign such disinterest

wow, that sounds hard...are you a graduate by any chance?
yes, I am a pharmacist. Applied to the A100. Probably my one and only shot buggered down the drain. Difficult pill to swallow, but i've just got to deal with it now

Maybe that's why they were like that :dontknow:
You are still in with a chance...the fact that it was challenging could be a good thing! It shows they tried to test you...I'm sure they were like that to everyone else, doesn't mean they will reject them all. They might me impressed by how you handled it, because they were looking at how you would react...you can't tell with those sort of interviews tbh
bah, it happens. I wasn't good enough on the day. That is my responsibility. I'm just miffed at all the people saying its such a friendly chat!
:ninja:

Someone said QMUL?

:teehee:

@wodood: I hope you get what you deserve dude, just try to forget about it and hope for the best - I know it's easy for me to say but that's all you really can do now. - Best of luck!
