When I was 19 a guy I worked with really liked me but I didn't see him in that way and turned him down. After a few weeks of hanging out I started to like him more than a friend but then he got a girlfriend so I never told him. We fell out for a year as someone in the friendship group was causing trouble but started speaking a year later.

I hadn't seen him in 5 years till recently and for some reason feel awkward around him. My friend told him recently how I liked him at the time, he said he didn't know and would have acted upon it. I felt so embarrassed cos I forgot I never told him and said 'oh that's why she's shy around me'.

We are all going out for a friends birthday the weekend and he wasn't going to come but we got talking on messenger and said it would be good to see me drinking as I usually stay sober and that we always have a laugh. He then messaged again last night. Is he interested?
