I have AAAb, you think that's 19points? I called ages ago and the woman told me she wasn't sure what score I'll get since their changing the scoring system :blah:

She said my score would be strong...

to avoid people wrongly calculating off my score/it may differ, i can't say it.

best thing is phone tomorrow, and re-ask. i am sure you'll get the guy i got, who was very useful in giving me the scores

Yeah I just used my degree 2.1 thats all and the guy was very helpful :smile:

What score did you get? and what as/a2 and gcses grades you have? I have AAAa.

AAAb=19.5 so I assume AAAa is 20.

I dont think so, I mean if aaaa at As gets you 20/20 there will be craploads of students that will get full marks too

No. It's out of 40, so PS is looked at too.

Probably but it depends on the strength of the applications they receive. For 2011 and 2012 entry, it was 25.5/30.
So I'm guessing roughly 35/35.5 out of 40.

i think they use another scoring system for predicted grades, and they look at gcse's as well.

I don't think they look at your predicted grades to score you.

Year 13: the best of GCSE's or AS
Gap year applicants: A-level

I'm considering applying to either BSMS or Bristol medical schools, but looking at the which guide, more % of applicants get an interview at Brighton than at Bristol.
AS: ACCC
A2 Predicted: A*AB
GCSE: 3 A*s, 7A's and a Distinction (A*AA?)
UKCAT Avg: 680.
Any idea of what chance I stand applying to BSMS?
