you bore me. contact was enough to bring him down, yeah he went OTT doing so, but it's a penalty, you would scream bloody murder if that were your team and it wasn't given and don't pretend you wouldn't. same goes for Deyesy.

Well considering Tevez didn't get a penalty yesterday for the EXACT same thing. We need consistency. I'd expect the penalty but I'd also admit we had a diver in my team.

I accept it was a pen fair enough, but I would still slate one of my players if he did that.

I admitted several times that he dived last week...never claimed otherwise in fact.

like I said I agree it was OTT and that he dived last week, but other than that there is no doubt he is a quality player.

It wasn't a definite penalty. He wasn't travelling that quickly and he went looking for the contact. He'd knocked the ball past the defender with more than enough room to go round the defender but he chose to run into the defender.
The rules state that contact doesn't have to be made. It's a foul if you cause the player to have to take evasive action. If Young couldn't evade that with the pace he was going at and the room he gave himself then he really isn't the player he's made out to be.
