Hoping to send mine this week too! It's pretty exciting! I hope they reply quickly!
Would they give offers or just ask for interviews at this stage? :s
I've paid for mine just waiting for my teachers to do my references, hoping they hurry up haha:smile: I'm guessing it would just be interviews

Yay! Our college wanted any applications for the popular courses, i.e teaching, english, nursing etc, in before October 24th, which is good really!

Most universities for teaching require interviews don't they? I think where other people on different courses would be getting offers, we'll be getting our interview times/dates within the next few months!

Just hope the maths and english entry tests for specific uni's are abolished now we all have to do the QTS tests anyway!

Yeah, I'm applying for,

Reading - Primary Ed (English Specialism)
Brighton - KS2/KS3 English Education
Roehampton - Primary Ed KS2 (English Specialism)
Kingston - Primary Ed (Guess what, English Specialism again!)
Middlesex - Primary Ed

I know ones like Reading, Kingston and Roehampton are meant to be quite sought after and competitive, so I'm a bit worried! Haha,

What about yourself?

Urgh tell me about it, think I might try and book mine tomorrow! :frown:

Ah, do you not do any of Reading's specialist subjects then? It does look really good there, my top choice at the minute!
I haven't looked at any of the ones you have! Oops! Haha, because most of them are quite far from me and I've picked ones that aren't more than an hour an half from home really!

What one do you fancy going to the most then?

Yeah, they've only just added the maths specialism this year, haven't they? Maybe they'll add science one day!

I think I did look at Winchester actually, it didn't seem like the right one for me though!

Eeeee, sending off the application tomorrow!!!

Ahh hope you enjoy it!

I've literally just booked my QTS tests, omg!!!!!! :frown:
My college sent my application off yesterday and I've received an acknowledgement email from Roehampton today! I need to book my skills tests though. On the down side i have come down with the worst illness I've had in ages, so I don't really want to think about it yet lol.

Reading wanted 280 points with a B in your specialism and Winchester wanted 300 points but you don't have to have an A-Level in the specialism that you want to do  I'm not sure if that is the same for this year though.
I've heard from some people that Winchester take quite a long time to invite you to interview so don't be too disheartened if you don't get anything back quickly as they get so many to read. Let me know when you start to get offers
I've been here for a month already and it feels like I have been here for ages! I'm into my fourth week of lectures now, the timetable isn't too hectic and they cancel lectures and things if we have essays due for that subject so they are really nice about it and all of my lecturers are lovely. I have got 4 assignments to do before Christmas but they aren't too hard

Yeah that's still the same I think, ok thanks! I received an acknowledgement from Roehampton this morning  that sounds really good and I'm glad for you that you are enjoying it

Wow, that was quick! Fingers crossed for your interview information soon then! I've applied for Roehampton too!

Finished my UCAS stuff today, paid for it, my references are done, it's all down to my college today to attatch them and send it! Can't believe this is really happening!

Literacy QTS on Thursday, it's all coming so quick!

Hope you're feeling better soon, it's horrible trying to get stuff done when you're ill!

Applied for Cardiff Met (secondary ed), Bath Spa, Winchester, Gloucestershire and Reading. I think Winchester's my first choice  had acknowledgement emails from them all but nothing more. Booked my skills tests and took an online practice one today: passed literacy fine but scraped numeracy (64%, pass is 63% :s-smilie:). I got an A at GCSE maths as well... oh dear.

At least it's a pass! I'm not even getting 10 out of 28 (the full marks) on maths, so I'm panicking!

And what specialism did you apply for at Reading?

Hellloooooo
Is anyone applying for Primary Education (2013!) at Nottingham Trent University or The University of Derby? I'm applying for both, REALLY wanna go to Nottingham Trent but need to resit my GCSE Maths and *attempt* to get a grade B! Also, has anyone on here studied the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education as apposed to A-Levels? P.S how do I register for the QTS tests?
Thanksssss:smile:
