Predicted grade: Physics (A) Further maths(A) Maths (A*)

i need help i dont really know what university to firm and insure, any opinions?
Hey, i'm applying for Aeronautics courses and am planning on accepting one of these offers I was given:

Glasgow for Aeronautical (Conditional offers: Higher physics B)
Strathclyde for Aero-mechanical (Unconditional)

Anyone else thinking of going to either of these places?

Currently studying Aeronautical Engineering first year at Brighton, but have conditionals to transfer universities from Leeds (firm) and either Sussex or Brunel as my insurance.
Hi everyone... Did Maths chemistry and physics at A level and got 3 A*...got unconditional offer from hertfordshire and Southampton... Can u guys give ur point of view on these 2 uni for aero course?
Thanks

can somebody offer me their input on these 4 unis in terms of their reputation in aerospace engineering?

bristol - no doubt on its international standing, and its close proximity to the major aerospace industries made it a really valuable choice. I am just not sure of this uni.

southampton - i have been hearing positive feedbacks for southampton. not mention its flexibility at year 3 for specialisation

manchester - although ranking wise in completeuniversity guide doesnt rank manchester in top ten for aerospace engineering. its international outlook in engineering really making me think twice on its programme.

bath - a young university who constantly perform in their mechanical engineering particularly in aerospace. its placement could be the real attraction here. it is establishing itself as being the third best in uk provided by sunday times guide. i dont know.

your feedback will be really helpful in my firming.

I firmly accepted Glasgow after going to the Open day. I prefer the course there since its purely Aeronautical. Plus you have to walk uphill a lot around Strathclyde

Yeah I went to an open day for engineering in Febraury for Glasgow and that sorta made my mind up between physics/astrophysics and aero engineering.

Do you live local or will you be staying in halls?

I live too far away to reasonably commute... halls for me. Really hope I get into QM, those halls are pretty sweet. What about you?
Yeah the talk for aero engineering at Glasgow kind of went like "it's really hard, there's a lot of maths, a lot of people fail." Challenge Accepted. (to not fail, that is)

Yeah I think I'll be commuting I live in Glasgow albeit the other side. It's about a 25 minute train ride. I felt really sorry for the guy who put his hand up cause he said he wanted to be a pilot haha, shot down in flames, pardon the pun.
I'm not doing ah maths and am now totally regretting that decision

That's not too far away I guess... yeah, the speaker (I forget his name) told us of a few people over the years who've dropped out and switched to study Divinity instead.
Oh really? I'm only doing H Physics this year, should've taken it in 5th year... well we're gonna get maths lectures every day at 9 so everyone ends up at the same level anyway. The jump from h to ah is pretty substantial but not impossibly difficult, if you did well at higher it should be fine.

Hey I got offers from both surrey and Southampton and ended up firming surrey mostly because I liked the area better and because of the work placement year. And when I went I felt I would get more support there
