NHS Scientist Training Programme (STP) 2014

I'm probably being stupid but a couple pages back people were talking about choosing their location/employer preferences but I thought there was a glitch!?...

Is the glitch fixed? I can't find where to do this can anyone help? I found it before when it was broken, but now the link has completely disappeared...

I emailed them today since I was also suffering from the same problem. They replied by saying that the glitch should be fixed by 6pm today. Although, it has been dodgy since Monday so I wouldn't be surprised if it takes longer.

My application status still says applied, but on the Pathway homepage it shows an upcoming STP interview for me on 26th March, 12:50 - 13:40. If I click it goes through to Interviews page and says 'you currently have no interview invitations'. Cruel glitch?

My status changed to interview last week (5th) but it was only on Monday (10th) I was able to choose the interview date. I also received a separate email saying I can now log in to choose the date. I'm medical physics though and we were the first lot to be informed I think.

Same for me, I had the link before (but it wouldn't let me choose my locations) and now today the link has completely disappeared. We have til sometime in April to choose locations, so I expect they'll get it fixed soon, but I wouldn't worry about it. Some have been fixed I think, my friend was able to choose hers, so hopefully ours will get fixed soon! :smile:

Not a glitch... just got an email inviting me for interview at that time! Hooray! Good luck to everyone else :smile:

Shortlist successful for Haematology and Transfusion Science! I am going to withdraw my application though so someone can get my spot! I never expected to be shortlisted for STP as I feel as a final year undergrad, I lack in specialist experience. I also never expected to get into medicine so this year's been a bit of a roller coaster ride for me. Good luck everyone!! x

They're def as far as Gastro and Urodynamics as my status has changed for those earlier today. A rejection from Gastro which I'm disappointed about as I had an interview last year and ended up on the reserve list, however I got an interview for Uro. Eek! Only 3 places, so it'll be tough. Has anyone else at all on here applied to those?

Does anyone know how we should fill the sub preferences in for location choice? I've got a list that lets me rank them 1 to 27 for both my first and second choice combined? I don't know if I should list locations in order of first choice then second choice, or if it should be all mixed up (ie number 1 as first choice for cardiac, number 2 as first choice for vascular, 3 as 2nd choice for cardiac, 4 as 2nd choice for vascular and so on...) Thanks x

Just received this email:

"Dear All

There is a problem with Sub preferences (choices of employers)
it is allowing you to choose more than three choices and this should not happen not to mention if you have been successful throught to interview for one out of the two specialisms you ranked, you can see choices of employers for the one you were not successful in and this should not be the case - the problem is currently being worked on and you will be notified when this will be fixed so for now I will close access to sub preferencing and reopen this when these issues are fixed - apologies for any inconvenience. Once it is is fixed you will be notified and will then need to go back into the system and make your choices again please (you will need to then make a minimum of one choice and up to three choices). This has no bearing on your interview booking slot and if you have booked your interview then that is all confirmed.

For Clinical Biochemistry, it was three days (over the weekend). You'll get another email called 'invite to interview' once you can book it.

Nope I am still waiting to hear from Audiology. The longer the wait the harder it gets!
